There are many ways to directly support work happening in and through our church. First Lutheran Church encourages donations to the Operating Fund to support its daily operations but has also established designated funds that donors who wish to restrict their donation to a specific program or ministry may donate to.
The following are the designated funds sponsored by the Church that the donor may choose from.
Christian Education Fund: the Christian Education Fund covers items related to Sunday School, Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School, covering supplies and services related to this ministry. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Christian Education.
Food Pantry Fund: the food pantry serves the community weekly and donations to this fund cover food, equipment, and various services that keep this vital ministry active. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Food Pantry.
Memorial Fund: donations to the Memorial Fund in honor or memory of a loved one are always
welcome. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Memorial Fund.
Operation Christmas Stocking Fund: this fund provides gift bags at Christmas to men, women, and children who attend the food pantry. It also provides gifts at Christmas to the men at Serenity Inns residential treatment center. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Operation Christmas Stocking.
Sew and Sew Quilters Fund: the quilters group makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief that are distributed worldwide, wherever there is a need. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Quilters Fund.
Scholarship Fund: the Scholarship Fund is available for a variety of educational purposes for members and also supports various training. When donating to this fund please mark your check or deposit envelope Scholarship Fund.
In addition, donors may also choose to donate to benevolence giving, and the following are the accepted areas of giving:

Lutheran Disaster Relief (LDR)- US based disasters such as fires, floods, hurricanes
Lutheran World Relief (LWR)- worldwide relief, and also donations for quilt shipping
